IRL Event Contests bring the energy of real-world competition onto Winnr. From cricket matches to global elections to conference showdowns, these contests let users compete based on outcomes that happen off-chain while still tracking everything on-chain.
How It Works
Contest Creation
Each contest is tied to a real-world event with binary or multi-outcome possibilities
Example events: IPL Matches (CSK vs RCB), U.S. Elections (Biden vs Trump)
Entry Fee: Fixed (e.g. $10 USDC)
Players Join + Pick a Side
Players select which outcome they believe will win
Each side may have multiple users
Entry fees are pooled in escrow
Game Start + Lock
Entry closes at a preset time before the IRL event begins
No changes allowed after lock
Result Entry
Winnr verifies the outcome before triggering distribution
Payout Distribution
Only users who picked the correct side share the prize pool
Reward is split equally among all winners (not based on ROI)
Winnr Fee
10% platform rake is taken from the total pool before payouts
Reward Claim
USDC payout sent directly to winners

Entry Fee: $10
120 players entered
70 picked CSK
50 picked RCB
Total Pool: $1,200
Winnr Fee (10%): $120 → Prize Pool: $1,080
If RCB wins:
50 winners share $1,080
Each receives = $1,080 / 50 = $21.60
If CSK wins:
70 winners share $1,080
Each receives = $1,080 / 70 = $15.43

Entry Lock Timing: Buffer period before the IRL event starts to prevent manipulation
No ROI Calculation: Unlike token contests, outcome is binary/match-based
